A little colour.
A lasting impression.
Terrazzo & finishes
Clear, green and amber glass can bring a quiet depth to a finished surface. Decorative aggregate turns the visible character of glass into part of the design, rather than hiding it within a mix.

Separate colour from performance.
Colour, chip size and distribution shape the appearance of a terrazzo surface. Binder compatibility, aggregate quality and the manufacturing process determine whether that appearance can become a durable product.
Design the finish as a system.
Loose glass chips and a polished terrazzo surface are different stages of production. The aggregate must be embedded in a suitable matrix and finished to the product specification. Do not treat loose sharp material as a finished walking surface.
Make a sample before making a range.
A small sample panel is a practical starting point. It allows the designer and manufacturer to review colour balance, the exposed aggregate and the finish before scaling to tiles, panels or other products.
Good questions.
Useful answers.
Must the glass be colour sorted?
That depends on the intended finish. A consistent single colour or a deliberate blend may benefit from sorting.
Is glass aggregate already a finished tile?
No. It is one ingredient in a separately designed and manufactured product.
